Fremantle Prison, Little Creatures and more sunsets!

We woke up early today because we had to get a taxi to Fremantle Prison, a prison where the convicts spent their jail time building the prison for themselves, as well as lots of other buildings and roads around Western Australia. Most of the convicts were sent here by boat all the way from England.

While we were visiting Fremantle Prison, our tour guide told us all about one of the prison's most famous prisoners, Moondyne Joe. His real name was Joseph Johns, and he was sent to Western Australia as a convict after stealing food in Britain. He became famous because he escaped from prison lots of times, even escaping from what was supposed to be an "escape-proof" cell by secretly digging through the prison wall while breaking rocks! Eventually, he was caught again, but he became a legend because of his clever escapes and love of freedom. Today, he's remembered as one of Australia's most famous escape artists, and it was really interesting learning about him while walking around the prison where it all happened.

After the brilliant tour of Fremantle Prison, we went to the Little Creatures Brewery, a place where Mummy and Daddy have always wanted to go. They love it so much that they even had Little Creatures beer shipped over for their wedding! There, we got loads of tacos and fries. I had a Sprite, Daddy and Mummy had lots of beer, and Jude had an apple juice. Daddy even got his own Little Creatures jumper.

After that, we got a taxi back to South Freo and spent the evening playing on the basketball court and watching the sunset by the beach.
