A Quokka-Filled Day on Rottnest Island!

Today, we woke up early and quickly jumped in a taxi to catch the ferry to Rottnest Island (or "Rotto", as the locals call it). Once we got there, we checked in and grabbed some food. For lunch, Jude and Mummy had (another!) sausage roll, while Daddy and I had a delicious chocolate croissant.

After that, we got on the Island Explorer bus and headed to stop number 5. We had a walk around, taking loads of awesome photos of the beautiful beaches, crystal-clear sea, and rocky coastline. Then we walked our way to stops 6 and 7 before catching the bus to stop 11, where we stopped to have a look at the lighthouse and enjoy the amazing views around it.

After leaving the lighthouse, we accidentally missed our stop, so we had to quickly get off at the next one and wait for another bus. Luckily, it wasn't long before we arrived at the place I had been looking forward to the most... the holy grail of my favourite animal, the quokka! We took loads of awesome photos, selfies, and videos with them, and they were even cuter than I expected.

Before getting the ferry back, we visited the gift shop. Jude and I both got our own quokka teddy, I got a Ring Pop, and Jude got aΒ Stranger ThingsΒ ice cream sandwich. Then we caught the ferry back to Fremantle, grabbed a Subway for dinner, headed back to our Airbnb, ate, and went to sleep after another brilliant day in Australia.
